S&T for Rural Development

S&T for Rural Development: main objective of this programme is to develop alternatives in rural development for a block -it aims at identifying the resources and existing livelihood of the rural people and skill of the rural women and men, finding out the problems and upgrading the existing artisanal production, developing sustainable development, etc.,-this programme mobilizes the rural women, artisans, landless women and small and marginal farmers-as an entry point rural microenterprises have been initiated among Women, Artisans and farmers -within a period of two years around 150 Microenterprises have been initiated-this programme is being supported by STEDS, NSTEDB, Dept.of S&T, Govt.of India, developed by Centre for Ecology and Rural Development, Pondicherry and implemented through Science Forum.
