NCSC - 2003

Event

TNSF (Tamil Nadu Science Forum) has been organising the NCSE (National Childrens Science Congress) every year, in which students in 6th to 12th standard from various schools paricipate and present research projects as selected topics. Normally children from both Tamil and English medium participate. The congress is held at three levels; district, state and National. From each level the selected children represent in the next level. The state level congress is organised by different districts on a rotation basis each year. This time its organised by us (Madurai district). Around 500 school children will be presenting their simple science projects on "Food systems towards nutrition for all" in four categories :

• Tamil/senior
• Tamil/Junior
• English/Senior
• English/Junior

Venue

This Statelevel NCSC will be held on 29th & 30th November 2003 at St.Britto Hr'Sec' School, Madurai.

Volunteers needed

There will be 15 projects, which will be evaluated in 15 halls with 10 projects each. Each hall will have 3 evaluators.Hence we need 45 evaluators as per nationally defined evaluation rules,which will be discussed with the volunteers in a preliminary meeting.The project evaluation will be between 2PM - 5 PM on 29th November 2003 TNSF requests your participation on a voluntary basis.
